Color-Coded Zone Intervals

Our latest app update introduces a feature called “Visual Intervals” or “Zones Based Color Coded Intervals.” This feature adds a dynamic element to your workout graphs, transitioning from the simple blue background for interval bars to one which is a color-coded representation based on your power zones.

What are Power Zones?

Before diving into the new feature, let’s quickly recap what power zones are. Power zones are specific intensity ranges that correlate with your fitness level and goals. They help you understand and manage your effort during workouts, whether you’re running, cycling, or engaging in any other form of exercise.

Introducing Visual Intervals

With the Visual Intervals feature, your workout graphs come to life with vibrant colors, representing different power zones. Each zone is assigned a distinct color, making it easy to determine the intensity levels of workouts at a glance from the workout library.

How It Works

  • Customize Your Power Zones: The app allows you to tailor your power zones and the associated colors of each intensity. If you do not know your zones, we have set up a default which would be applicable to the vast majority of users.
Add your FTP Power Zones as a percentage of FTP. Each zone % should be the upper limit value.
  • Transition to Color-Coded Graphs: Once you’ve set up your power zones, the app seamlessly transitions from the traditional blue background for interval bars to color-coded bars that correspond to your customized zones. This transformationprovides a more intuitive and engaging way to visualize your workout data.

  • Easy Interpretation: Whether you’re analyzing past workouts or tracking real-time performance, the color-coded graphs make it effortless to interpret your intensity levels throughout the session. You can quickly identify when you’re pushing into higher zones or easing off to recover.
